As part of our ongoing review of the coronavirus COVID-19 situation, using the data available from official government sources, CDC and projections from health institutes we feel a responsibility to our people and community to flatten the curve and to continue to do as much as possible for the safety and wellbeing of our employees.
To further reduce the population in the factory and to take extra measures to protect the health and safety of our employees and our community, we will suspend manufacturing operations at SIMONA AMERICA Industries facility in Archbald, PA beginning at 7 PM on Thursday April 9, 2020 until Monday April 20, 2020 at 7 AM.
At our current knowledge and the information we have on hand, including the awareness that the spring break and Easter holidays also historically cause a slowdown of orders during this period, we feel that this is the right timing to overcome the peak as best as possible.
All other operations, including shipping, sales and customer service will remain open during this period.
The management team, customer service, sales, finance, IT and HR will continue to work from home with no interruption to your regular service. Some limited shipping service is also possible to continue to service our customers, while protecting our staff.
Additionally, both outside sales and customer service are able to receive and book orders for both stock, and custom orders.
We will continue to monitor the situation and will be in touch with everyone throughout the operational shutdown to update on the return to work, or otherwise.
